On Saturday, September 24, 2022 COP is proud to partner with the internationally celebrated wind quintet, Imani Winds. Twice nominated for a Grammy award, Imani Winds regularly performs in prominent international concert venues, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Walt Disney Hall and the Kimmel Center. COP and Imani will perform two pieces for this concert: “Iemanja, Goddess of the Sea,” a movement from the larger work Phenomenal Women by Jeff Scott, and Boris Blacher’s Konzertstuck for Wind Quintet and Strings. COP will also perform Johannes Brahms’s Serenade No. 1.
